Shelf life
Recommended use within six months under unopened conditions. If exceeding the shelf life, sample testing is required; use only if results are normal.
Storage& Transportation: Store in dry conditions at 5-30℃, keep packaging sealed, avoid light, store dry, avoid high temperatures and open flames.

Construction Details


Construction Conditions
Application environment temperature range:10-35℃, application humidity range <80%. Substrate temperature should be at least 3℃ above the air dew point temperature. Use winter-grade below 20℃. Ventilation conditions: Ensure the construction area is ventilated and dust-free. However, strong winds should be avoided to prevent dust from affecting the appearance.
Note:
This product is not suitable for areas with direct sunlight or high UV intensity.

Substrate Treatment
1.All new or old concrete floors must have a concrete strength of C25 or higher. Remove surface stains and loose material until sound concrete is reached.
2.For new concrete, ensure the floor has passed the curing period, and the moisture content is ≤6% (tested with TRAMEX CME4 concrete moisture meter). Use portable shot blasting tools or grinding equipment to treat the concrete surface to achieve thee correct surface roughness.
3.For existing coatings, grind off loose or incompatible old paint coatings until the concrete surface is exposed. Clean, dry, and sound compatible coatings may not need removal.
4.For oil-contaminated floors, if oil seriously affects the coating’s adhesion to the substrate, completely remove and grind the oil-contaminated area. Consult the company’s technical or engineering department for detailed substrate treatment documentation.

Construction Method
Method: Troweling
For trowel application, select a trowel with an appropriate notch length according to the desired thickness. Coating thickness is closely related to the application rate; generally, choose a trowel with a 3mm notch length.
During application, a pin roller must be used to penetrate the coating layer. This helps to prevent bubble formation and can create a uniform surface effect, eliminating surface laitance.
Pay attention to batch differences during construction; try to carry out continuous application in divided areas to minimize batch color differences.

Mixing
Do not mix excessive material. Ensure construction occurs within the pot life under the actual site temperature conditions. First, stir Component A evenly, then add Component B while stirring. Mix with an electric mixer for about 1 minute until uniform (depending on mixer power and speed). Manual nixing time should be increased to 2-3 minutes until the hardener and colored quartz aggregate main agent are thoroughly mixed evenly.

Construction Rate
1.6-3 kg per square meter
Higher application rate results in greater thickness.
Note: Too low an application rate can easily cause issues such as failure to hide the base color, exposed aggregate, poor leveling, etc.

Standard Construction Process
First coat: Roll apply epoxy penetrating primer.
Second coat: Trowel apply epoxy mortar leveling coat.
Third coat: Trowel apply epoxy filler coat.
Fourth coat: Trowel apply solvent-free epoxy colored self-leveling top coat 2.0-3.0 kg/m².
Fifth coat: Roll apply water-based polyurethane gloss top coat, application rate 0.04-0.08 kg/m².

Application Parameters

Mix Ratio (Weight) Epoxy colored self-leveling top coat Component A:Component B = 7:1, mix thoroughly after combining.
Pot Life Store at room temperature. Higher temperatures shorten the usable time after mixing. Construction is generally not recommended when ambient temperature is above 35℃ or below 0℃.
Thinner Adding thinner is prohibited without permission.

Curing Details

Drying Time
Surface Dry: 4 hours; Hard Dry: 48 hours.
Recoat Interval
Proceed with the next coat only after confirming the previous coat is completely dry. Typically, the interval time under standard conditions is 24 hours.
Service
Light pedestrian traffic is possible after 48 hours (hard dry). Heavy loads require 7 days for full curing.
Note
Drying time is measured under standard conditions (25℃, 50% humidity), for reference only.
Drying speed varies significantly under different temperatures and humidity levels and is also affected by film thickness, ventilation, and underlying coats. Generally, drying time shortens when temperature increases and lengthens when temperature decrease.

Common Application Issues

1.Severe trowel marks. High viscosity and uneven force during troweling lead to severe marks and uneven aggregate distribution, more noticeable with darker colors. Prefer lighter colors and use a pin roller back and forth on site to eliminate bubbles, reducing marks and uneven aggregate distribution.
2.Excessive bubbles. High product application rate leads to relatively slow bubble braking, and failure to use a pin roller for defoaming. After on-site troweling, use a pin roller back and forth, especially under high temperatures where the reaction is fast and bubbles easily form.
3.Uneven aggregate distribution. This material require high substrate flatness. Large level differences cause product flow, resulting in uneven aggregate distribution effects.
4.Poor aggregate distribution effect, exposed aggregate. Caused by low application rate. Recommended application rate is greater than 2 kg/m².

Precautions

1.Application environment temperature range: 10-35℃. Excessively high temperature leads to fast reaction, short working time, and poor leveling. Application environment humidity range <80%. Substrate temperature should be at least 3℃ above the air dew point temperature.
2.Excessively low temperature will increase viscosity. The material can be warmed (e.g., using a heater) before proportioning and application.
3.Immediately after trowel application, use a pin roller to roll across the surface in both directions to eliminate bubbles. If color flow marks appear in some areas, use the pin roller continuously back and forth until the flow marks disappear.
4.Substrate flatness must meet requirements: less than 3mm deviation under a 2m straightedge. Otherwise, flow issues may occur.
5.The application rate must meet the recommended amount.
6.Poor areas of the floor and substrate require grooving treatment, filled with solvent-free epoxy leveling coat to achieve anchoring effect.

Groove Size & Length
Grooves must be vertical and regular. Groove depth and width should be twice the thickness of the coating system. Keep about 100mm from walls, parallel to the wall, and the enclosed area should not exceed 20 square meters.
Groove Location
Grooves should be placed near columns, bases, construction boundaries, construction joints, all edges, connection intervals, columns, doorways, drains, and the center of floor penetrations.
Groove Filling Material
Epoxy leveling coat mixed with quartz sand. Consult the company’s technical department for specifics.
